Star Gazer - Three Event Drive by Wire Engine PCM Indmar
Star Gazer is the next generation of our legendary DigitalPro platform. All new circuitry anchored by an extremely fast Arm 7 Processor combined with GPS Speed Correction delivers an unparalled skiing and driving experience.
No other project in our history has consumed as much engineering resources as Star Gazer. The goal from the outset was to stay with our RPM Based Slalom Mode simply because it is a smoother, far more forgiving pull than a pure speed based process. The challenge was to make it “smarter” so the driver could simply set the speed and go while the skier enjoyed the same familiar pull.
The end product is the result of integrating “speed overlay” using the new high speed GPS Receiver. (The paddle wheel signal is no longer required) This approach combined with sophisticated software running on the ARM 7 Processor actually produces a better pull and driving is incredibly simple. The system is so accurate that you should not be surprised to see actual end course times pass after pass.
From the driver’s seat, you will notice that the lcd screen layout is much cleaner. There is no skier weight, rpm adjust, etc. In addition, the slalom switch is no longer required.
Skiers have commented that at deep shortline, it just feels “softer” or “smoother”.
In addition to Slalom, the Trick and Wakeboard Modes have been improved by using GPS control. (No paddle wheel required) This means enhanced control particular in the turns and there is never a need to calibrate. The World Record Jump Mode is unchanged.
Star Gazer also features Two Timing Modes to choose from. The Classic Mode using 6 or 8 magnets is available or you can select the very accurate One Magnet Method, which requires just One Magnet at the entrance gate. This mode will produce full course and all buoy times.
In addition to Slalom, the Trick and Wakeboard Modes have been enhanced via a continuous calibration of the paddle wheel. Improved performance in the turns and “auto calibration” means your speed will always be accurate to 1/10 mph. The World Record Jump Mode is unchanged for 2009.
Star Gazer is designed only for three event tournament boats and is available for new DBW engines as well as most mechanical engines produced since 1980.

Upgrade to Star Gazer
Whether you have an existing WakeboardPro on your boat or the three-event DigitalPro, you can easily upgrade to Star Gazer. In most cases, it is a simple “Plug & Play” ten minute installation.

RPM Basic Cruise Mechanical Engine
This recreational product is aimed at the novice slalom skier, wakeboarder, and general water sport enthusiast. PerfectPass Cruise features the same great RPM based pull and quality hardware as our famous Pro version in a very simple, inexpensive package. The attractive two inch In-Dash Switch works like an automotive unit with On/Off, Resume, and Increase/Decrease functions. There is even an LED indicator light.
This is how it works. Turn the System ON and the LED light blinks (slowly) telling you it is ready. Drive to the desired speed, then press the Engage Key and PerfectPass takes over (the LED now stays on). If the skier falls and you pull back the throttle, the system immediately disengages and goes into Auto Resume mode ( LED light will blink rapidly). Pull up the skier again and the system will automatically take over once the previously set speed is reached. Speed changes can be made on the fly by pressing the Increase or Decrease key.

Smart Timer Magnetic Sensor
When it comes to tournament skiing, “timing is everything”. That’s why PerfectPass manufactures the simplest, most accurate and most reliable timer in the business.
Smart Timer by PerfectPass is the acknowledged “standard” in the industry. Used every day by thousands of skiers and relied upon by the sports most respected events.
Fully automatic and completely hands free, the times (traditional or all buoy) are instantly displayed on your PerfectPass Display screen every single pass. No stabilization delay and false triggering is all but a memory.
You can even test your magnets strength and polarity.
Beware of imitations, only Smart Timer by PerfectPass is tested and tournament approved by USA WaterSki. Other sensors may not provide the same accuracy, may be prone to false triggering and could void PerfectPass warranty.
How many Smart Timer Magnetic Sensors do I need?
* With the new Star Gazer, you only require two Magnets for Slalom. One at the entrance Gate from each direction. This method is fully approved for R Tournament use.
* Star Gazer Jump Mode requires just two magnets as well, parallel to each other at the entrance. These magnets are required to trigger the timer, the balance of the timing pass is measured by GPS information.
